Bertram Chandler Award<\/a> for outstanding achievement in Australian science fiction.<\/p>\n<p>The Chandler Award, which is juried, is given for lifetime achievement in science fiction. In announcing the Gillian&#8217;s selection, the <a href=\"https:\/\/asff.org.au\/asff-announces-the-a-bertram-chandler-award-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Foundation noted <\/a>her significant work in fandom as well as her outstanding fiction, including her Ditmar-award-winning novel <a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/books\/the-year-of-the-fruit-cake\/9781925759914?aid=1838&amp;listref=my-books-c2f1e249-1437-4a27-a2f6-ca75ac169a8f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Year of the Fruit Cake<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We here in the Treehouse are delighted to see Gillian&#8217;s multifaceted skills and projects recognized by the Foundation.
