It\u2019s not like I\u2019m hiding the masks; they\u2019re hanging right by the door. Am I the only one with this problem? I can\u2019t be.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normalnoident\">I decided I needed a mnemonic reminder. So now when I go out, I (try to remember to) chant to myself, \u201cGoing out? Cover your snout!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normalnoident\">It helps. Just like \u201cGoing out? Don\u2019t go without!\u201d helps me remember to take my wallet when I\u2019m going to the store.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normalnoident\">Neither is foolproof. I\u2019m grateful for Google Pay on my phone, which saves me about once every few months, when I find myself at the grocery checkout, patting my pocket, and cursing softly because there\u2019s no wallet there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normalnoident\">Some of us need all the help we can get, these days.<\/p>\n<p>Not everybody likes it, though.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Normalnoident\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After all these months of wearing masks and taking proper precautions, I still have trouble remembering to put on a mask when I go out\u2014especially if it\u2019s something quick and routine, like taking the dogs for a walk.
