It’s National Cat Day. I’m not sure whose idea this is — people seem to invent holidays on a regular basis — but that does seem like a good day for promoting two charity anthologies edited by Danielle Ackley-McPhail and published by eSpec Books: A Future for Ferals and More Futures for Ferals.
Both these books were published for the purpose of raising money for A Future for Ferals Cat Rescue. If you buy from the eSpec site, three times as much money goes to the cat rescue, since they don’t have to pay a cut to third-party sellers.
I’ve got stories in each book — mine are cat mysteries I wrote 20-odd years ago and are reprints — and other authors include Sharon Lee, Keith R.A. DeCandido, Lawrence M. Schoen, and many other people who often write for eSpec or contribute to their anthologies. All, of course, are cat lovers who were glad to donate stories.
There are both print and ebook editions, and all profits go to the rescue. Get some good stories and help some cats today!.
